“We are an Easter people and Alleluia is our song,” wrote Augustine of Hippo. Resurrection of Jesus is the pinnacle of the gospel event. Without Resurrection our faith is futile. Resurrection is not only a past event, it is also a present reality.

In Philippians 3:10-11, Paul invites us to continue to encounter Christ and the power of His resurrection – a power that transforms lives, breaks the grip of sin, renews life purpose, enables us to live with perseverance in the  midst of suffering, shapes us into Christ’s likeness and gives us hope for the future.
