Being Wholly Devoted to God \\ Romans 12:1-2 \\ JICF
BK SMITH
This sermon on Romans 12:1–2 calls believers to understand that God does not merely want religious activity or partial obedience.
God wants total surrender of our lives in response to His mercy. Drawing a strong contrast with King Saul in 1 Samuel 15, the message warns that outward worship without wholehearted obedience is ultimately rejected by God.
Paul teaches that true worship is offering our whole selves as “living sacrifices,” and that genuine Christian living requires continual transformation through the renewing of the mind by God’s truth.
The sermon concludes by pressing the central question: are we merely giving God something, or have we truly given Him everything?
