JICF SUNDAY MESSAGE

Many Christians think discipleship requires a special program, formal training, or a perfect candidate. Yet throughout Scripture, discipleship often began with ordinary relationships. Jesus called fishermen. Paul invested in Timothy. Priscilla and Aquila mentored Apollos.

Before asking, “Who should I disciple?” perhaps ask:

“Who has God already placed in my life that is spiritually open?”

Look around. It may be a younger believer, a family member, a colleague, a neighbor, or a friend asking spiritual questions. God often places people near us before He calls us to reach people far away.

This week, pray that God would show you one person with whom you can intentionally invest your life.

Please take time to read 2 Timothy 2:2 and Matthew 28:19-20.
