Marriage in God’s story
It begins in Genesis with the creation of man and woman, and continues to appear throughout the Old Testament, particularly in the writings of the prophets.
Marriage also shapes the purpose of Jesus’ ministry and is richly explored in the teachings of the New Testament epistles. In fact, an entire book of the Bible, the Song of Solomon, beautifully celebrates the depth and intimacy of marital love.
