This Sunday we explored 1 Samuel 3:1–21. We learned about how God called the boy Samuel in a time when the word of the Lord was rare.

We saw the importance of learning to listen humbly to God’s voice, the serious consequences of Eli’s failure to restrain sin in his household, and the beginning of Samuel’s ministry as Israel’s final judge and first prophet.
